Welcome to Cara Sharkie Photography!
I'm Cara - mother of two, coffee lover and newborn & family photographer with a studio based in Ayrshire.
I specialise in capturing newborns, toddlers and family life. As your photographer I strive to capture every first and everything in between. The every-day moments that pass so quickly.

I recently used Cara and I have just received them, to say I am delighted is an understatement, they are lovely. Cara was amazing with my 3, she brought the best out of them. My oldest Charlie doesn't interact with people he doesn't know but you can see him trying to with Cara and that's down to how good she is with him. I will definitely use her for future shoots and highly recommend her to anyone who is thinking of getting some done, especially if you have a child with disabilities/additional needs as she was brilliant with Charlie.

We booked Cara relatively last minute for a newborn shoot along with some family pictures too. She was only too happy to accommodate. Despite our family have some issues with colds/bugs/COVID tests, Cara was so understanding and absolutely amazing in rearranging date and times. She pulled out all the stops with our shoot and was brilliant with our 4yo who is now fascinated with taking photographs! The pictures Cara captured are beautiful, so much so that we just couldn't pick which ones to buy- we love them all and will treasure them forever.

Cara has now done two sessions with our 2yo daughter and we couldn't be happier with the photos! Cara takes the time to let tantruming toddlers settle; has lots of props, distractions (as well as the occasionally sweetie/bribe!) to hand to help get as many good images as possible. The communication both before and after the sessions is great and its lovely to be able to view so many beautiful images online before ordering your final copies. We might be biased now but we wouldn't dream of going elsewhere for our family photos!
